And it was delicious
I love the Swedish Church. I don’t attend the services but am amazed at the wide variety of events and activities the provide for the communities they serve.
Different churches provided different activities and within walking distance of where we live I can take Yoga, meditation, knit, enjoy lunch concerts and evening performances.
One neighborhood church had an Africa week. The advertisement came in the mail and I was delighted to say the least. There was an art exhibition, singing and dancing and an evening with three speakers and African food.
The spread was amazing and was organized by two African woman and the church’s cook. The cook explained what an amazing experience she has cooking alongside these African women. It wasn’t clear to me if the women were professional cooks or just cooked beautifully.
There was food from at least 5 different countries and I’m a bad note taker. I can only remember Egypt, Morocco, Gambia and I think Liberia.
Nice (and delicious) things happen to me in Sweden.
